Practical arrangements
Meeting rooms and pass requests
Meeting rooms should be booked through our caterers between three weeks and two working days before the hearing, via the Supreme Court Meeting Rooms Booking Page.
As we have a commercial arrangement with our caterers over the provision of meeting rooms, Court staff, including our Reception team, are unable to assist on the day if an advance booking has not been made following the procedure above. Special arrangements can be made for lawyers appearing on a pro bono basis or acting under a legal aid certificate who wish to make use of a private meeting space at no cost - please email our Catering Manager for details.
Catering
We now offer an improved range of catering throughout the day, which can be delivered to meeting rooms to save you time. Catering should be arranged at least two working days before the hearing, using the Supreme Court Meeting Rooms Booking Page.
Our Cafe, on the lower ground floor, is open to court users from 0830 until 1630.
Please note that food and drink from external suppliers is not permitted within the court building.
Wifi access
Free high-speed broadband access is available for professional court users, i.e. lawyers actively involved in proceedings. Once you have Wi-Fi switched on, look for the 'Sup Crt Users' network. The password is available from the Reception or Registry desks upon arrival at the court, and the code is changed regularly for security reasons. For other visitors (including those attending guided tours), BT OpenZone has good coverage throughout the building, including the courtrooms.
